Who am I?
I ask that way too often. And one of these days I'll know the answer... but in the meantime, I'll tell what I can remember. With a memory like a strainer that in itself is going to be a trick.
The next common question I get on that subject is whether or not I was born blind. The short answer, yes. The long answer, it was caused by Glaucoma, a complete (more complete than I can give, anyway_ definition of which you'll find right here. That right there is more information than this Canadian (eh?) feels like typing.
My interests are quite varied, from music to writing to roleplaying to... whatever catches my attention. Lately, I drop online and roleplay in a few places, all of which you'll find on my links page... when I decide to put them there. I encourage you to check them out... even if the genres they advertise aren't usually what you'd go into. The roleplay still rocks, in my honest opinion. And, as I always say, yay for honest opinions!
I read, occasionally, my tastes almost as varied as my writing and roleplay. Science fiction, fantasy, depending on the category some more present-day content, things that end up catching my attention, mostly. So far as music goes, though? I listen to whatever happens to be playing at the time. Though I don't have any actual musical preference (a bad country song still sounds as bad as a bad rock song), I do have a surprising amount of country CD's. You can laugh; I didn't say I listened to them often, if at all. I like a few songs, on average, from plenty of genres... anything from 80's to present day rock, whatever. On top of the fact I don't tend to favour any particular genre, I do favour a particular style of music. That being any style of music I can play. I play piano, more or less off and on, though I haven't received lessons for it in a few years. What I play there varies almost as much as what I listen to, and includes one song I wrote (well, didn't actually write it yet), that I played for my cousin's wedding in October of 2006.
If it isn't here and you want to know about it, I'm definitely not opposed to getting an email with questions, comments, whatever. Just if you irritate me expect to be told off. Quite publicly. Then soundely ignored. That's the beauty of a site like this... the only rules there are are the ones the web host lays down. And this web host is awesome... when their email servers are configured right.
